Iran Thaing Bando Association

Grand Master Mohammad Agha Tohidi (late), the founder and “Father of Muay Thai” in Iran, dedicated many years to establishing the sport and training champions and coaches at both national and international levels. With his passion for learning and his great spirit, he constantly sought new martial arts techniques and systems to advance the art of combat. For many years, he studied and practiced the Thaing system, and in 2015 he received the “Sayar” certificate from the Thaing Federation of Myanmar. However, due to personal reasons and the circumstances of the time, he did not proceed with officially registering this style. Sadly, he passed away at the end of 2020 due to illness.

Therefore, Grand Master Mohammad Agha Tohidi is regarded as the spiritual father of Thaing Bando in Iran, and the official recognition of this style today is the result of his vision and efforts. Finally, through the dedication of his student, Master Mehrdad Yarahmadi, and the support of other students of the late Grand Master, the Thaing Bando style was officially recognized and began its activities in November 2024 under the Martial Arts Associations Federation of Iran.
